Evidence, dates and disclosure.
ADHD information is only useful if you can tell where it came from, how current it is and where commercial interests may exist.
Source hierarchy
- Clinical guidance
- NICE first, supplemented by NHS sources and primary regulatory material.
- Professional status
- GMC, HCPC, NMC and GPhC rather than provider marketing pages.
- Right to Choose / ICBs
- NHS England for the legal/structural framework and current ICB footprint.
- Provider waiting times
- The provider's own dated page for its current capacity and local restrictions.
What we deliberately do not do
- We do not diagnose ADHD through content or screening tools.
- We do not treat one professional title as proof of ADHD expertise.
- We do not turn prescribing status into a claim of diagnostic expertise.
- We do not invent waiting times when a provider does not publish a clear figure.
- We do not hide the relationship between this site and My Neuro Health.
Fast-changing information
Provider waits, ICB restrictions and NHS commissioning arrangements can change quickly. The waiting-time page therefore displays a checked date and links directly to each provider. Old figures should be removed or marked historical rather than silently left in place.
Editorial disclosure
ADHD Explained is an educational resource published by My Neuro Health Ltd. That relationship creates an obvious potential conflict when comparing assessment providers, so the site makes it visible. My Neuro Health is not ranked above other providers and is shown as private only, with its introductory private assessment price disclosed rather than a Right to Choose waiting-time claim.
